The Not So Horrible Podcast - Episode 17

"And the kid with the backpack said 'radical'. I say radical. That's my thing that I say. I feel like I'm going to explode here!" (starts shaking in anger, Todd steps away)

Yeah, I get as mad as Milhouse on this week's episode of The Not So Horrible Podcast. Well, not really, but towards the end Bratthew Maga hears me get quite furious at Infinity Ward, the company behind this soon-to-be piece of awesome and this screwup. On top of all that, this great 17th episode features some talk about RIM, Google, Intel and some good ol' fashioned tangents. Just like Ma and Pa are prone to.

Just a reminder--we're on iTunes now! Click here to subscribe.

The Not So Horrible Podcast - Episode 16

Milhouse: "The Statue of Liberty...? WHERE ARE WE!?!?"

I think that just about sums up The Not So Horrible Podcast, brought to you by Matthew "Insert Birthday Here" Braga and myself. This week on the show we chat a lotta stuff. There's news in there about the Motorola Droid, Android 2.0's latest feature of turn-by-turn navigation on Google Maps, Nintendo's rising and falling and questionable decisions as well as some nonsensical jabbering. Yes, that's right, we jabber. If that didn't sink in for the last 15 episodes, I've got good news: We give you another chance.

And how many chances do we get in this life? Well, as a Hindu, I get a couple, I think. And speaking of chances--there are so many chances you get to listen to us!

Or hop on over to The Horrible Fanfare! Or hop to the fixed audio player below! So much hopping.

Anand Ram, DROIIIIIIID.

The Not So Horrible Podcast - Episode 15

15 episodes later, and the Victor Sullivan to my Nathan Drake and I embark on the road to Shambala.

Or we podcast about stuff and junk. Tech stuff. Journalism junk. Man, we love that stuff! In this episode, Matt and I talk about the CBC's new look(s), Telus' launch date, Windows 7 and its launch and many more things.

Big news! Thanks to Matt, we're now available on iTunes! Click here to be taken directly to the iTunes store, where you can listen to new as well as past episodes!

Enjoy at the newly designed Horrible Fanfare as well!

Anand Ram, Intern.

The Not So Horrible Podcast - Episode 14

Baby girl...what's yo name? Let me talk to ya...let me buy you a drank. I'm Anand Ram. He's Matt B. What's the chances of me playing with my Wii?

Not much. And you'll find out why in this week's Not So Horrible Podcast. We talk a lot of personal game in this, our 14th episode, and you'll definitely like it. I'm a newly made intern, Matt's a newly made...DS user? Yeah. We'll go with that. We shed some light--my favourite cliche--on the reason behind our new purchases, Nintendo's possible reason for wanting to upgrade the Wii and franly, why we are who we are.

Blogger seems to be doing something weird with all of my audio players, and I'm not entirely sure what the problem is. For now, please enjoy at the newly designed Horrible Fanfare!

Anand Ram, Resident guy who calls girls "shawta-ee".
Note: Because of Blogger's weirdness, all the previous posts don't work either. But they're still all up on Matt's site, so please give him a visit for this wonderful content!

The Not So Horrible Podcast - Episode 13

Waaaaaaaaaaaahhhh. Abooboobooboo. (looks up at Joan)

You know what that means? That's right--GUEST SPOT. Joining me and Lois Lane this week is none other than another Matt--Mr. Matt Demers. A fellow estudiante del periodismo en Ryerson, he joins us on this episode of The Not So Horrible Podcast to share his own whines, wisdoms and wishes. Who knows what craziness ensues? Drugs? Explosions? Talking about Canadian internet and cell phone providers?

Enjoy below or at The Horrible Fanfare!

Anand Ram, Won't call it the Thanksgiving episode...mainly because we never brought it up.

Note: This experiment turned out well! We hope to welcome many more guests in the future! But I'm gonna switch back to my Rock Band mic because it doesn't pop as much. While it doesn't catch the highs--I hardly sing in a fine piercing tenor on the podcast. Rarely. All this until I can afford any kind of Blue Microphone.

Second Note: I am not Clark Kent in the analogy. I'm probably Perry White.

The Not So Horrible Podcast - Episode 12

I have spent the day surrounded by computers and technology and formatting wizardry. So naturally I want to spend my night podcasting about it.

Well, I didn't really. But be thankful that M. Bison said we should keep to our regular Monday schedule because we pulled out one hell of a podcast. Or netcast as Mr. Leo Laporte would say. Although, I do put these files on my iPod and listen to myself like the selfish fathead that I am.

On this week's show, we talk about not your average set of things. Matt and I had the good fortune to attend a few panels on the future of journalism and online news, which sort of spurred our discussions in this episode. If you're a journalist and are interested, give it a listen to get our thoughts on what went down, so to speak, at Ryerson University's "What's Next For News?" panels this past Friday.

Enjoy here or at The Horrible Fanfare!

Anand Ram, Swears that he and Matt read the iPhone on Telus/Bell story after the podcast was over.

Update: Seriously, we'll cover it next week. Calm down. Seriously, we're already beating ourselves up about this, but we talk about some great stuff this week. (slaps them across the face) Get over it, man!

Dump du Linq:

Leo Laporte speaking to the Online News Association Conference. It's long but good.

Great article on how Geocities be goin' the way o' the dodo.

The site that may have the panels that Matt and I helped shoot and I edited (painstakingly) is Jsource.

The Not So Horrible Podcast - Episode 11

We are ODST.

Well, maybe not. We're not nearly that cool. Seriously, that trailer was effing hots. Welcome to The Not So Horrible Podcast. Matt-hue Brag-uh and I are actually on episode 11 (Holy phlerking snit!) and we promise you, this time we aren't trapped in a chamber that bounces our voices around. This time, it's all clean and live to tape. This time...heads will roll.

Okay, not really. But this time, we talk about a lot of Microsoft news and concepts, some Intel news and concepts and some gaming stuff. There's a lot of conception going on here.

Enjoy below or on The Horrible Fanfare!

Anand Ram, Wants to battle aliens on a faraway planet.

Link dump:

Cops play Wii instead of raiding a drug dealer's house. (Please pardon the creepy ass announcer's voice)

Microsoft's new concept tablet, the Courier. (Scroll down to watch the video, it's worth it!)

The most boring video on Earth. (Pardon the intergenerational/racial bonding time going down here.)
